LGBT Community Would Benefit From Immigration Reform

Too often particular groups of people set to benefit from immigration reform are lost in the midst of the debate over how to fix the broken system.

Among the classes of people frequently overlooked in the context of immigration reform are those in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. The infographic below, from the Center for American Progress, demonstrates how thousands of undocumented LGBT individuals would greatly benefit from the Senate’s immigration reform—which is currently stalled in the House at least for the remainder of the year.
